این عبارت فقط در مورد چک‌های برگشتی (بلامحل) استفاده می‌شود و مربوط به نوع مسوولیت شخص صادرکننده چک است. اگر چک کیفری باشد، می‌توان علاوه بر این‌که وجه چک را دریافت کرد، صاحب حساب (صادرکننده) را نیز به زندان انداخت؛ ولی اگر چک حقوقی باشد، فقط می‌توان وجه چک را دریافت کرد. البته ناگفته نماند که ..
